Borbet DB8GT2 Alloy Wheel The Borbet DB8GT2 is a lightweight alloy wheel manufactured in Germany by Borbet GmbH. This wheel combines JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) styling with modern manufacturing technology, designed for both Asian and European modern classic and youngtimer vehicles. Construction & Technology The DB8GT2 is manufactured using Borbet's FlowForming technology. This automated process uses rotation and pressure to compact the rim bed via pressure rollers, resulting in greater stability with a thinner rim bed thickness. The wheel achieves a weight of just 8.8 kilograms in 18-inch diameter, delivering improved driving dynamics and agility compared to conventionally cast wheels. Design The DB8GT2 features a minimalist multi-spoke design with JDM-inspired aesthetics. Each element is precision-engineered, from the spoke geometry to the surface finishing. On certain colour variants, specific areas are machined by milling or turning after the base coat is applied, then sealed with coloured clear coat.
